Valentine's Day

We had a great Valentine's Day Party!  Thank you so much to Mica Tipton and Elle Holland for doing such a great job!  Also, thank you to all the parents that donated items and helped out at our Valentine's Party! 

I hope everyone had as much fun on Valentine's Day as we did!  Have a great weekend!

Love Week

Show your support for the Hale family by joining in on LOVE WEEK dress-up days!

Love Week is a week long service project held by the entire Allen Community and sponsored by the Allen High School and the International Baccalaureate Program. Each year a member of our community who faces hardship is chosen as the LOVE WEEK recipient.

Monday – Eagle Spirit Day (wear Allen Eagle apparel),

Tuesday– Wear Orange for Leukemia Day,

Wednesday– Around the World Day (dress as different world cultures or wear red, white, and blue)

Thursday – Valentine’s Day (wear pink or red), and

Friday– Wear your Love Week T-Shirt Day!

CANDY GRAMS

Also, Pride Council and Spark Club are excited to launch th Candy Gram Fundraiser for the Hale Family!  Candy Grams will be ordered in class Monday and Tuesday only.  Every card will include a piece of chocolate candy, and will be sold for $1. The cards can be purchased for anyone at Bolin, and will be delivered Thursday, February 14.

This is an easy way for our families and students to donate to the Love Week fund. Every dollar will go to the Hale Family, and we could not be happier to show them how much we care during this special week.

Science on the Move- The Earth's Layers

On Friday we had Science on the Move with 6th grade.  This time they taught us about the Earth's Layers. 

Here we are forming the Earth's layers.

We even got to make a model of the Earth with Oreos, and then we got to eat it!

We even learned a cool song about the layers!

The Penguin That Wanted to Fly

Yesterday we read The Penguin That Wanted to Fly by Catherine Vase!  

We made text to self connections with this writing prompt...

"I wish I could ride a camel."

Everyone did a great job of making text to self connections!
